ABOUT BROOKE HALL

I didn’t set out to discover pronoia.
I found it the hard way.

______

Everything changed the day we lost Light City.

My husband Justin and I co-founded Light City, America's first large-scale light festival. In its first year, it drew more than 400,000 people and generated $33.8 million in economic impact.

Then came the public unraveling and legal battle that followed.

What I thought was success collapsed into a darkness I couldn't have imagined.

At rock bottom, something unexpected happened.

Doors opened. People appeared. Opportunities emerged where none seemed possible. What looked like an ending became the beginning of an entirely different story.

Pronoia is the opposite of paranoia. It's the recognition that life may be unfolding in your favor, even when it doesn't look that way.

That idea changed my life.

I wrote The Pronoia Effect to share that journey and what it taught me about loss, inner transformation, trust, and the hidden patterns that shape our lives.

Today, I live in Encinitas, California, where I write and teach about the journey from protection to trust and what becomes possible when we learn to trust life a little more deeply. I am a certified meditation teacher through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.

My work explores the strategies we develop to stay safe, the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, and the surprising ways life can begin working in our favor when we learn to trust ourselves, others, and life a little more deeply.
